USCMO met at the  Embassy of Norway with First Secretary Anne Marte Bentdal Ambl

The USCMO met with First Secretary Anne Marte Bentdal Amble from the Embassy of Norway in the absence of Ambassador Kåre Aas to petition the Norwegian Noble Committee to withdraw its 1991 Nobel Peace Prize from, or censure, Aung San Suu Kyi, the political leader of Myanmar, for shielding the brutal ethnic cleansing of the Rohingya by the military and other extremists groups on the international stage. Using her image as a human rights symbol to veil Myanmar’s Rohingya genocide violates the spirit and honor of the Nobel Peace Prize. USCMO officials in their Embassy visit also recognized Telenor, a Norwegian telecom company and major investor in Myanmar, for its moral leadership in endorsing UN commission recommendations in Rakhine State “respecting human rights in all our markets.”
